Once Albert is gone...

Should Eric Fisher be the 2014 opening day starter at left tackle?

I really hate when people post stupid shit like this.

It's no different than saying he's going to be a stud next season.

You don't have the first damn clue.

I do have a damn clue.

You see, you can make educated guesses on player or team production based on past performances, historical factors, and other things.

That is what I have done here.

Try it sometime, its fun!

I don't wanna high jack this thread but, they can let Berry walk as far as I'm concerened. A #5 overall S pick in the draft that can't run and cover = Bust to me. Any QB that knows what he is doing picks on this guy and either uses him to convert 3rd downs or TD's.

I'm getting really freakin tired of burning a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick on offensive linemen every goddamned draft. We've done it each of the past 4 drafts, and 5 of the past 6 drafts.

It's time to devote our top resources to other positions.

If Fisher moves to LT, keep his replacement in-house. Or sign somebody. But I don't want to see any 1st round tackles. I don't want to see Gabe Jackson unless we steal him in the 4th.

A good offensive line is important, but it shouldn't occupy the attention it has been getting recently. Even the best offensive line can only take you so far.

Even on ChiefsPlanet, where Fisher is considered to be Public Enemy #1, people were conceding that he was playing better toward the end of the season, before he was injured.

I think he's going to be fine at left tackle. In any case, there was no drop-off later in the year when Albert went out so why pay him?

Fisher just needs to get stronger. His arms looked like mine lol i barely lift weights now days. A year of NFL strength and conditioning should help him alot.

He played pretty well at the end as stated. Stephenson didnt do a bad job either. Its that Jeff Allen guy that needs to go. lol

Fisher was the safe pick, so I have no doubt he would fill the role of LT without fault.

Yes, let's look at all his performances at LT in the NFL that influenced your educated guess.
