There's also an idea that Stephenson had some of the best combine results of an offensive lineman in recent history and that he's got very good feet and hands and is very effective in directing his man with his arms.

Stephenson showed his ability this past season and, like Fisher, got better nearly every game - especially in the last quarter of the season.

He's very much above average and will only get better as we head into 2014 as the line continues to build continuity. In fact, I think Stephenson has a chance to be elite or near it at the RT position, especially playing next to a guy like Schwartz.

Which is the biggest question mark heading into the 2014 season - not if Fisher or Stephenson will be the LT or RT, because I'm pretty sure that you'll see Fisher at LT and Big Don at RT, but what they do with the LG position. Allen hasn't lived up to his second round OG status and looked really out of shape this season. I think he tried to put on too much weight in an effort to become more physical in the phone booth and it affected his play. I don't think he's really a power guy versus a finesse player and Reid seems to like guys who can drive block dudes at the guard spots.

They aren't going to give Brandon Albert 9 million a year, and he's not going to take a "demotion" and play inside at LG. Which means that either Allen needs to have an epiphany and play to his draft status or the Chiefs are going to take a OG pretty high in the 2014 draft.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade back a few spots to pick up a potential 2nd or 3rd rounder and then draft a guy like Gabe Jackson of Mississippi State, who fits all of Reid's "ideals" of what he wants in a OG.

The defensive lineman ALWAYS look dominant in the Senior Bowl week, while the offensive linemen look relatively pedestrian.

It's just how it is there and you must take those performances at those positions with a grain of salt each and every year.

Gabe Jackson was a destroyer of worlds all season long in the SEC. Absolutely man-handled the defensive lines of Alabama, LSU, etc. Go watch the actual games. He absolutely ****s guys up. Bad.

True Pass rushers do not always come from the left tackle side.

Robert Quinn doesn't, Robert Mathis doesn't. Remember what side he came from when he strip sacked Alex Smith? Stephensons.

Some do of course. Aldon Smith, but that's mostly because he just isn't as good as Ahmad Brooks in pass coverage.

Houston comes off the Right Tackle side.

If you can block, you can block. The biggest thing is that he jumped competition levels that was much higher than someone like Lane Johnson, Dj Fluker, or even Luke Joeckell.

They say, they being experts that your biggest jump is from year one, to year two.

We will see. There are a lot of people here, who were fine with a tackle at 1.1, as long as it wasn't JOECKELL. Now, I see a lot of those making jokes about the player they said they wanted. You know who you are.

Nowadays, defensive coordinators have started to move their best pass-rushers, offenses' performances don't vary significantly whether pressure is coming from the right or the left, and the last five Super Bowl champions had mediocre LT's at best. There's really no reason for left tackles to continue to be paid $2 million more on average than right tackles. That's also why I thought the Chiefs should have gone after a playmaker with the #1 pick as opposed to a left tackle who they eventually moved to the right anyway.

Very hard to argue with the fact that Tavon Austin, would of really helped this offense.
