AFC West - 7 games left

Hola - so I've taken a break from posting here for the most part and I think we're all happier. However, going into the final stretch of 7 games with the bye weeks done, it looks like it's going to be a nice battle for the division crown.

Not much room for error, quite honestly, with each team having at least 3 difficult (in red) games in the final 7. The Chargers, in my opinion have the toughest road with the Ravens, Patriots, Denver, SF and KC. They're really going to have to turn it on to make up the 2 game gap, otherwise they're pinning their hopes on a wildcard, which is more difficult as the 3rd place divisional team ... and you have three 6 win teams in the North.

Denver and KC have the game @KC and that could mean everything. If KC can knock off SEA next week, that's a monstrous development for the race. My guess is most chalked that up as a loss, but they've been very mortal lately.

Denver has looked anything but unbeatable the last few weeks, they've played ok, but the OL is having issues - too many penalties and the defense bends and breaks on 3rd down against aggressive teams.

At some point, that could cost them a win against a Miami or Cincy.

Nice win for KC at Buffalo yesterday, good road win. At the very least, it appears right now that we have a 3-team race. Should look that way for the next 2 weeks, as I think SD can win two straight (OAK, STL). All three teams can win their next two games and then we're heading into December with quite the finish for the divisional crown.

Good luck with all that...

Broncos (7-2 overall / 3-0 Div)
Lost @ SEA and @ NEP
@ STL
MIA
@KC
BUF
@SD
@CIN
OAK

Chiefs (6-3 overall / 1-1 Div)
Lost to TEN, @ DEN and @ SFF
SEA
@OAK
DEN
@AZ
OAK
@PIT
SD

Chargers (5-4 overall / 1-2 Div)
Lost @AZ, to KC, @ DEN and @MIA
OAK
STL
@BAL
NEP
DEN
@SF
@KC

Actually, you did go out on limbs. Clearly you did. Considering that all three of your losses were on the road correct? And that the Seahawks lost in St Louis. The Rams are clearly a better team at home, and the Broncos are clearly vulnerable on the road.

The same can be said for Seattle. They are a completely different team on the road. So, yes, going out on a limb, and assuming makes an ass out of you.

Oh, and by the way, I predicted before the season began, that the Broncos would have a very tough time beating the Rams.

Now do I think the Chiefs will beat the Broncos in two weeks?

I refuse to think past Thursday. So, now slither away worm. Slither away. You predicted, or assumed, or went out on a limb, you were wrong, you got called on it, own it, and shut your filthy cock gobbler.

Stop playing the victim.

Teams like the Chargers and Steelers are impossible to predict. When they're playing well they can beat anyone...

I don't see Denver losing a home game. Hell, who knows about the road and it depends on how fast JT and Sanders come back... tired of hearing about targets to Tamme and Caldwell, they suck.

I could see the division coming down to tiebreakers between Denver and KC, with the way Denver has played the last two weeks... they're SOL.

So do the Chiefs.

Good luck against that Buffalo defensive line, by the way. Hope your offensive line eats their Wheaties that Sunday morning, because their DL is at least a full grade better than the Rams'. And the Rams' DL is pretty tough.

Take it from us, the team with an offensive line that misses blocks all the time.

Alex Smith just flat out knows how to beat the Seahawks. The Chiefs are everything that the Seahawks cant beat. Because of Alex's inability to make use of shitty receivers, it really negates the strengths of the Seahawks defense.

That was the difference.

Same with the Rams. Because of their front 4, they can commit all of the extra guys to coverage, which makes them a tough matchup for the Broncos.

That's really my hostility towards your assumptions. In reality, what is going to decide the division, is probably the game in KC in two weeks.

Good luck.

He's a douchey Bronco fan with douchey opinions, but he isn't trolling. These types of threads take time and effort to formulate and stimulate football discussion on the board.

The guy is just a homer, as most are.. And also a douche Bronco fan.

I give respect to those who deserve it.

His presumptions about Denver being superior, didn't show respect. Therefore, I treated him as such. And now im over it.

And, again, I hate the broncos more than any other team in any sport, ever.

So, there is also that.

Why not just state the truth of the matter. you think the Broncos are the better team. And that's understandable. I could respect that more than some silly spin that you are trying to do.

I have a bullshit meter, and you are full of it.

MHM is good people. Knowmo aside, the Donk posters on this board are very classy. Much classier than the Raider fans as a whole.

Calm your tits, everyone.

His team was 7-2 playing a team that was 3-6 while we were 6-3 playing another team that was 6-3 (and coming off a nice shellacking of his team to win the Super Bowl, I might add). He wasn't wrong in predicting the way he did. He just ended up being dead ass wrong.

Oh, and 43-8.

Hell, if I were trolling, I'd say you're likely looking at another playoff loss with the lack of a consistent passing game. The way things are going, the Pats are likely the team to go all the way.

Denver has issues, just as KC and Indy.

The days of fun banter around here are long since gone.

Yes, I'm still pretty confident that Denver will win the division. cdcox has the Chiefs with a 30% chance of getting the division title, that seems about right.
