I don't have the actual steaming partition but I do have the dual heating tray and it works well. We like to put some red potatoes in the rotisserie for 30-45 minutes and then put them in the heating tray with some butter and seasoning while the meat then cooks. We also cook turkeys every Christmas and Thanksgiving on the Ronco. Almost every family member now has one because we got tired of having to drag ours out to all the get-togethers. Be sure to get the showtime kitchens seasonings too. BTW, there are recipes on the Ronco website.

If there was an issue with performance I can get someone in Customer Service to send you a new one if you let me know where she bought it...

We have sold a large number of them and had a few complaints, but most were product issues.

If anyone has issues with a Foreman product, let me know.

Pretty much.....what most people don't realize is that most all of the small appliances you use in your home are made overseas and imported. The technology is pretty much the same.

I got the Showtime last year. Used it the first day I got it and it worked great. You sometimes wonder if it really is that easy to jam the turkey on those spikes or if it really is that easy getting the bird in and out of the rotisserie, but it was surprisingly easy to use and the results were great.

But, like others said, it is a bigger hassle to use than just shoving something into the oven, which explains why we never used it again.

I have high hopes for mine. My wife just got it for me for Christmas. It is the platinum series. It's the middle sized one. Also, it has the digital contols rather than the turn knob. I'm going to give it a shot sometime this week.

Markdog - Nothing wrong with it. In fact, the chicken and kabobs came out fine. It is just easier to do on my big grill.
