Bomb Exploded at Boston Marathon Finish Line

I've heard an unconfirmed report (a co-worker's girlfriend called him) that there was a bomb at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, with people injured. I am hearing multiple sirens, though I'm not in the Copley area.

The news networks most likely know more than is being reported on Twitter or Reddit, and they definitely can hear the scanner traffic like everyone else. They just need to have 100% verification before putting it out there. Especially after the disaster CNN and Fox News put out there the other day.

There's a reason all the cable networks and even the broadcast channels have broken into non-stop coverage over this.

Problem is, NBC didn't come on the air with any of this till like an hour ago.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it sounds like we've got one of the two dudes on video at the Boston marathon has been killed, and the other is on the loose but surrounded.

As it stands now, yes. The 1st suspect being dead is unconfirmed. The 2nd suspect is believed to be the missing Brown University student.
