That Morse pick isn't looking so great at this point and why so many were so vocal against it on draft day.

Check out Ben Grubbs' latest interview. He says the #1 person helping him to acclimate to the new team is Eric Kush. Not a coach, not some other offensive lineman who's been there longer like Jeff Allen, and not Alex Smith. Kush. Grubbs said that Kush knows the formations and the calls inside and out like the back of his hand, which really helped him get used to the new playbook so early into the OTAs
Also, the fact that Morse is batting 3rd in the lineup at C, and sometimes 4th behind Kush, Allen, and Fulton, seems to say that Reid isn't too worried about plugging him in pronto as the starting C. I know the OTAs are for trying different guys out at different spots, but they're also for seeing what some guys can and cannot do. Morse has a long way to go in training camp if he wants to climb the ladder to be the starting C. |
