Is the Chiefs your favorite football team??

Noticing a lot of Chiefs fans on this board. Thought I'd take a quick poll to see how many there are.

I'm a chiefs fan,to prove it here are my favorite chiefs players of all time:

1. Bam Morris
2. Kris Wilson
3. Snoop Minnis
4. Warren Moon
5. Pete Stoyanovich
6. Rich Scanlon
7. Todd Collins
8. John Tait

heres my toilet seat to prove my chiefs fandom:

do u love the chiefs football team the most? prove it in this thread?

Probably shouldn't have even admitted that. Someone will use it for ammunition sooner or later.

Some people around here thinks that means you can't have an opinion on the team at all. Fair warning.

I hadn't really thought about it, but this is my 50th anniversary as a Chiefs fan (May have watched their games between 1959-65, but I really don't remember.)

It's like I tell the people here in Maryland who wonder why I don't follow the Ravens -- been a Chiefs fan since 1966, a bit late to start looking for a new team now. Hell, if I stayed with them through the wilderness years of 78-88, it would take something completely catastrophic to make me quit on them now.

Like it matters if he ever takes an unpopular position.

What's wrong with liking the QB of your team again?

Nevermind, doesn't matter ... but it just goes to show the randomness of events around here. How dare somebody like the QB of their favorite team.

I appreciate the warning but it doesn't matter I'm not going to let some douche on the internet ruin my day. I just figure I should own the fact than I'm new, in fact I've stayed out of a lot of debates because I just don't have the history with many of Chiefs players like you long timers do. I mean I'm not getting heavily into the Smith/Ford/Reid etc. debates because I've only really watched them for half a season.

Welcome to our wonderful world.

As a new fan, you can probably use some pointers so that you can come up to speed quickly. Here are my top ten, and others will probably add their own.

1. The greatest Chief of all time is Otis Taylor, and during any mention of the pro football hall of fame, you are obligated to note that the institution is a travesty until Otis is inducted.

2. The apex of manhood is Steve Deberg playing quarterback with pins holding his broken finger in place.

3. You are entitled to hold your own opinion about whether Priest Holmes or Jamaal Charles is the better running back, but you cannot argue that Larry Johnson should be in the discussion. Also, see Item 4.

4. Despite your opinion in #3, Jamaal Charles is the greatest running back in the history of professional football, as proven scientifically by his ypc.

5. Derrick Thomas is the greatest pass rusher in the history of the NFL, and any discussion of pass coverage is nonsensical because you don't ever drop Derrick Thomas into pass coverage.

6. It is considered impolite to discuss kickers in the context of playoff games, and is generally risky to discuss playoffs at all.

7. If you do not like the direction of a discussion, it is acceptable to make an unrelated observation about the Chiefs' history of great cornerbacks. Mentions of Albert Lewis are particularly well received.

8. We like punters in general.

9. Recognize that any mention of Neil Smith will cause significant consternation.

10. Any discussion of the Vermeil-era offensive line must contain terms of reverence.

11. If you are going to mention an assistant coach in any context, it's best to make it Al Saunders.

12. In order, f*** the Broncos, Raiders, and Colts.

How very odd. I would have expected Rainman to be able to count to 10.

Along this line of thinking, today at work I noticed a lot of teenagers in the middle school. Doing a poll like this might be just the ticket to figuring out if the middle school does indeed have a high number of teenagers in it.
