There was a guy on the SOC FB page that said that we should trade our 1st round pick (yes....a top 3 pick) for Alex Smith.

Honestly I'm probably one of the least knowledgeable posters here.. but even I know we need to draft a QB without a doubt. Like, I can't even imagine thinking we should draft something else.

But you're right, whenever I talk to someone outside of here they suggest trading for Smith, Kaepernick, Tebow (lol), etc. It's like the idea of for once having a QB that Kansas City can call their own is long gone.

This is the damnedest of unfortunate truths! Someone told me the same thing about Alex Smith the other day at work. I told her that we already had Alex Smith in a Chiefs uniform, it's called Matt Cassel. She said the same shit about the QB in the draft too. Goddamn mainstream sports media has a hold of most of the population by the ****ing balls. Lots of regurgitation of ESPN garbage going on in my office.

We're making the right decision by holding out for Geno

While I would have loved Wilson, I definitely think Geno>Wilson.

This is what I think too. Hell he could be better than RGIII staying healthy long term. RGIII is taking some heavy hits this year. Geno is bigger and stronger I think more durable. We need a star QB that could be Geno Smith. We would make waves.

Geno isn't going to do all that running and gunning/Vick/RGIII-shit, and that's just fine.
What he IS going to do, is step up in the pocket and make positive yardage 9 out of 10 times that he takes a snap.
And, he'll do the Greatest Thing Of All:

Prove to Zach once and for all that 40 yard passes do IN FACT ****ing exist and can be completed.

Regularly.

And, don't forget; Chocolate Penii Power for the Chiefs as well.

Holy hell this is reeruned. Geno Smith is not and will never be RGIII.

RGIII is already a top 10 QB. Geno is not on his level.

Geno has not played a snap in the NFL yet, so how the **** would you even BEGIN to know this?

Exactly. You're comparing an unproven college QB to a QB who is..

3rd in QB rating
Tied for 2nd fewest INT's
6th in completion %
Top 10 in rushing TD's (this includes all RB's)

All as a ****ing rookie.

Goddamn people. I think Geno is going to be a good QB, but RGIII is on a whole other level than him.

There is not one thing Geno does that RG3 can't do better.

I was advocating before the draft, but evidently the Chiefs organization doesn't hold my opinion in high esteem...

And it's not a ratings ploy that ESPN was talking about how long RG3's career might last.

He takes too many hits and he's not THAT big.
