I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

I read that originally the two were going to have an affair, but then the creators chose not to follow that storyline. It seemed odd to interject the subtext at this point.

Yes, but the button has to be related somehow. Remember when they failed to push the button a while back? There was the same noise and "light" that there was last night when Ben moved the island.

Also, last night when Ben put the metal in the little room, the video that said "don't put metal in there", etc. Remember when they failed to push the button? There was a huge magnetic occurrence down in the hatch.

There's a relation there somehow...

Yeah, I know. But it hasn't been explained.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is the button kept the room frozen so the wheel didn't spin, thus moving the island. The room heated by fire when he forced the wheel.

Makes sense. Sort of like keeping the battery cool to keep the bomb from going off.

In fact, maybe that whole "keeping the batter cool" was some sort of a hidden "clue"?

That Octagon Recruiting thing is taking place in San Diego on July 24-27, which just so happens to be the same dates and location of Comic-Con.

I'll be there, hopefully its something good.
