Well here we are only 7 days into the New Year and Tornado sirens going off since 5:45 pm . I guess 2 twisters touched down in Monett. Kind of wild having the tornados this early. Everyone in the area be safe.

Guess we are in Warnings till 10:00 pm. Got to love the SW Missouri Weather.

It was 22 degrees here Friday morning, by Saturday afternoon it was 74.

I'm in Columbia and there were sirens going off. Tornado touched down just south of my office, our entire operations center crammed downstairs. Nice way to get out of 1.5 hrs of work.

here in Peculiar Mo 7 miles N of harrisonville; we just had nickel sized hail for about 3 minutes; complete downpour; sounded like my house was going to collapse; covered the street about 1/2" deep with hail.....

crazy.

I'm getting ready for round 2 here in west Springfield.

North Springfield already has reports of baseball sized hail. 2 houses have been destroyed in a town just NE of Springfield.

Same here we are near Both Battlefield and Republic, these two towns seem to be tornado magnets as the last few years.

Two touched down in this area - one near Harvard, Illinois and one in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The one in Kenosha destroyed several homes and caused injuries. There is widespread wind damage all over the Chicago area.

Weird ass weather. There haven't been any tornadoes up here in January since 1950.

Kenosha? Girl's name, but probably more of an African American demographic. Harvard seems like a really bad boy's name that will make the kid pretentious and prissy.
