Yep. You don't pay unless you complete the purchase and take home the player.

I'm realizing I didn't get one of the databases updated. I may have one other mistake in building this which I am tracking down now. Appreciate the feedback. I'll post again when I think I have it sorted out and you can check for those guys again.

Wrong PFR links for those players. Getting them fixed.

I've brought my roster down to 53, and I've assigned all my contracts to have $171 Salary points left over, but I keep getting an "insufficient funds" message and I don't have enough salary points to sign the contracts. Is there a minimum amount I need to keep on hand?

I'll look in on this when I take the site down for the other fix.

Speaking of which, that will be about right now.

Something weird with the Victor Cruz link, too. No stats here.

Probably want this one.

This is a decent FA class. I count about 20 guys who could easily be solid starters.

Just so everyone knows:

1. You can't bid more points that you have even if they are spread over multiple players.
2. You can't rescind bids. If you change your mind you have to hope someone else will come along and take you off the hook.

So consider your bids carefully. You can't jerk around NFL players.

Also, yeah, I'm getting the same message on insufficient funds, which is weird since I have tons of cap room the way I've configured it.

This is fixed now. Be careful before you commit to the contracts, since that is irreversible.

A lot of people have dreams.

That does seem like a lot, though. If we have 24 teams and each team probably has 35 players on it, that's 840 players. The NFL has 32 teams with 53 players, which is 1,696 players.

Hmm. Then you add in a fair number of guys who got cut and still are trying to land on a team, and I guess it's about that number.

There is a hell of a lot of attrition in the NFL. It's staggering.

That's become clear to me in the past couple of weeks looking at these rosters. I'd think, "Okay, that guy's good. I've got that position nailed down." And then I'd do some quick research and discover that he's been released and no one has signed him. Some of these guys had pretty good stats in 2012 and they're now homeless. It's amazing.
