ESPN Radio Insults Chiefs

So, I'm driving to little Caesar's to get the kids some pizza and listening to 610 Sports. Commercials come on so I hit the preset button to 810 to hear Sean Salisbury say

"The Chiefs are pathetic. If they win 5 games this year, they should stand on their heads till their ears turn red. This team is just pathetic. The Raiders will blow them out!"

Eric Allen added, "3-4 wins this year - 5 will be an achievement for this team."

While I realize that Herm's slow start is problematic (yes, Herm, the pre season DOES matter), the situation is nowhere near as bad as these guys make it out. If we do beat Oakland or make the playoffs, we need to remind ESPN radio's illustrious commentators of their week-burial of the 2007 Chiefs. I think ALL these problems are fixable and that KC will recover nicely during that fat mid-season part of the schedule when we have a lot of home games.

Dude, what ****ing game were you watching today? Yes, it is that bad. I'm watching the Raiders game right now, and I'm sorry to tell you this but it looks like they've figured out this "offense" thing. Certainly better than we have anyway.

10 years ago the Chiefs lost to Denver on opening day by an almost identical score (19-3). We were all ready to throw Marty/Elvis under the bus. Then KC won a remarkable 13 out of 15.

I really don't think our problems are unfixable.

I don't think 4 wins is out of line. The homer in me wants them to win them all. But the realist in me says this is gonna be a long season. I'm ready and will ride the bandwagon even if its a bumpy ride.

That Denver team had the best record in the NFL the year before and then went on to win two straight Super Bowls. A little different than the Texans.
