Chiefs Annouce Roster Moves to Meet NFL Mandated 53
Posted 42 minutes ago
The Chiefs announced their final round of cut downs
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves on Saturday, including the release of 17 players in order to meet the NFL’s mandated 53-man roster limit. Additionally, the team has placed two players on injured reserve and one on the non-football injury list. Below are the roster moves that took place.

“As a collective football operation, coaches and scouts have held numerous discussions on each player during the evaluation process,” said Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey. “We had excellent competition at every position and that’s a great thing, but today we had to make some difficult decisions to narrow our roster to 53. I'm pretty surprised they cut Bronson as much as he played. Also cut Nico Johnson, which I didn't see coming withy Mayes injury.

Surprised that Murray didn't get the BS IR designation. Succop is the only minor surprise. We should pick up Sam. He is better than our current bottom feeder rotation guys.

No, Sam is not better than our bottom rotation guys, and he has absolutely no place in our 3-4 defense. Not athletic enough to play LB, not explosive enough to rush as a DE in a wide-9, can't play anywhere else except for LDE, not strong enough to be an interior pass rusher, and he isn't capable of playing special teams.

Yeah, let's waste a roster spot on a guy because he's gay and was a Tiger.

Why the **** would we do that? He's healthy, and the Chiefs were able to hold Bray over on IR

Succop was getting paid way too much for arguably, average kicking.

Richard Gordon, Larry DeTurday, and a few others I'm guessing they're just hanging onto until they pick through waivers to help them get to PS. Can't see them taking 4TEs.

3 QB sacks in the preseason. Rams loved him but they have too much depth on DL.
