Candylicious: Round 1, Heats 73 through 76

Here are the rules. This will be a head to head tournament. For efficiency's sake, I will run four heats in each thread.

Therefore, I will put up four pairs of candies. For each pair, you will identify the candy that you would most like to have at the moment of voting. It doesn't necessarily have to be your favorite candy overall, just the one that sounds good right now. For visualization purposes, you may assume that you're out trick or treating (dressed as Miley Cyrus), and the woman at the door is offering you your choice of two options. You can only pick one, or if you would turn them both down, you can pick zero (not to be confused with the Zero bar).

So to summarize, you will vote for four candies in each thread, one candy per heat. And here they are!

Heat 73: Peanut M&Ms vs. Reese's Pieces

Heat 74: Butterfinger Crisp vs. Toblerone

Heat 75: Pearson's Bun - Caramel vs. Cinnamon Mentos

Heat 76: Clark Bar vs. Lobster Claw Candy

My votes:

Peanut M&Ms over Reese's Pieces. I feel bad about this because I really like Reese's Pieces and if I ever found an alien I would definitely have these on hand. However, Peanut M&Ms may be the perfect candy. I could see Peanut M&Ms taking the whole tournament. So, Reese's Pieces, I apologize. You caught a bad matchup in Round One.

Toblerone over Butterfinger Crisp. I'm okay with crispy wafer types of candies, but I prefer a thick chunk of chocolate. I'm not a huge fan of the shape of Toblerone, but it'll get my vote here.

Pearson's Bun - Caramel over Cinnamon Mentos. That Pearson's Bun looks pretty darn good, and I don't like cinnamon candy. Easy win hear for the PBC.

Clark Bar over Lobster Claw Candy. I'm not really sure what the Lobster Claw Candy is. Is it a hard candy or a gummy? The Clark Bar looks like a Butterfinger variant and I like Butterfinger. I'm not sure if I've ever had a Clark Bar, but I'd try it.

The only person voting for Toblerone should be Denver Chief.

Dammit, I'm going to stop at the store on my way home and buy some Peanut M&Ms. I can't resist.

1/4.

Reese's. There's nothing like it, and it's simply better than Peanut M&Ms. PMMs are fine, but they're not Reese's Pieces.

Butterfinger. I like Butterfinger just fine, but it's not awesome. But Toblerone may be the only chocolate that doesn't have coconut that I won't eat.

Cinnamon Mentos. Cinnamon candy rules. Red Hots, Mentos, Jolly Ranchers, Atomic Fire Balls, those Brach's cinnamon disks, Hot Tamales... they're all awesome.

Clark Bar. Mainly because I don't know what that lobster looking thing is.

It's butterfinger crisp. Which is much worse than a butterfinger. I love regular butterfingers.

Yep, that's the kicker. We all love Butterfinger even as we try to dig it out of our molars, but these crisps are a pale substitute.

I find the Reese's stick wafer candy to be pretty good.

Still going with BFC over Toblerone. I'd pick Toblerone over licorice, though, if that helps.

Clark Bar is a less dense Butterfinger that doesnt cling to your teeth like plaster, it gets runner up

Peanut M&Ms are simple and perfect... the clear winner

I've never had a Toblerone, but I voted it over Mentos because of those ghey-ass commercials they used to run.
