The debate is who is better as a WR.

Comparing RB receiving yards to WR receiving yards is comparing apples to oranges.

Dex sucks as a WR because he's not very good at beating CBs and is useless going down the field.

He can produce some receiving yards as a RB because he's matched up on linebackers, can catch screens, etc.

That doesn't translate to his play as a WR.

He has about 300 yards as an actual WR, doing WR things, running routes. Period.

End of discussion.

Nobody is arguing who the better true WR is! You just now invented that it is all of the sudden a debate about the better WR because you failed at who the better player is. You said Tate > McCluster without the caveat "as a WR."

So I will say again, Calvin Johnson is better than Ray Rice at doing WR things, but Ray Rice is still the better football player that most people would prefer to have.

It isn't freaking IMPLIED?

I saw that caveat the minute I read it, before it was ever explicitly stated.

How could that be implied when it took him 8 posts to say "at doing WR things?"

Because they're both WRs.

Calvin Johnson is a better WR.

Ray Rice is a better RB.

Dex is fairly shitty as a WR and a RB, so he has that going for him. Jackass of all trades.

I thought Dex looked pretty good at WR the preseason and first 2 reg season games. And I've never been too high on the pick of Dex.

He was not good against Buffalo.

Not at all.

His fans are clinging to one game at this moment.

One. Game.

If he's out for the year, mark him down as a bust. Enough.

No it isn't. You guys are discounting Dex's yards because they didn't all happen as a true WR. Who cares how he gets them. For receiving yards the two are basically equal. But oh no! Dexter didn't start the game listed as a WR! That is such a stupid argument.

As a WR Tate has been better because that is all he does. As a football player whose, get this, job it is to get yards and move the chains Dexter has been better.

I love the scrambling that it is somehow implied he ment "as a WR" when he said Tate was better because that is the only way to save face.

The funniest thing about all of this is that McCluster, in his first year as a "true" WR has more catches and more yards than Tate, even with that phony TD yesterday. All Tate has on Dex is the one actual TD.

Well, he doesn't play RB anymore.

So it's kind of relevant.

He needs to do WR things, not RB things.

If you can't honestly see the difference...you're being obtuse.

Oh, I am. Sorry. They are both wide receivers, so that's kind of important.
