Every team tries, intentionally, to hurt opponents with solid, clean, hits.

Saints were fined for illegal hits in the alleged 'bounty' system.

The whole thing was a witch hunt done for image purposes... Williams paid guys 50 bucks for doing shit any competent defender is trying to do anyway... knock the shit out of the offensive players.

Saints WERE NEVER FINED OR FLAGGED FOR ILLEGAL HITS. Tagliabue knew that.

They did however have a pay for play like all teams do even your Chiefs.

But you right it was a bullshit witch hunt designed to keep the Saints from playing the Super Bowl in their home stadium. That's all it was.
