I'll check it out. We've done so much traveling this year with some left to do that I may not be able to. But, if I can work it out, I'd love to come up.

But, I think the landscape of KU football has changed. I'm not sure that people really REALLY cared about the football program. Since the firing & the Gill "era", they've seemingly decided that it would be wise to put some effort into the football program. Hopefully it pays off.

It already has. Spring game attendance, ticket sales, all are up compared to the Gill era. It's going to look like a weird little blip 20 years from now when people look back. No one will even remember him.

How long do you think CW will coach at Kansas, and how many wins do you think he will have?

I think it's interesting that Mangino probably would have become the winningest coach in school history had he stuck around another year.

Mangino was in the top 3 of longest tenure. Why shouldn't he be in the top 3 of wins? Why do you find that so interesting?

Mangino took over a team and won 0 games his first year. 5 years later he's winning in the BCS. He was a pretty good coach by anyone's standard.

He was a good coach. I simply found it interesting that he was so close to becoming the all time wins leader at the school.

Third with 85 wins in 113 coached. Mangino had 50 in 98 games coached. Gill had 5 in 24 games coached.
