Pennington And Coles To The Chiefs?

" JetNation.com has learned that the Jets have had conversations with the Kansas City Chiefs about a blockbuster trade. The Jets would send both Chad Pennington and Laveranues Coles to Kansas City in exchange for... "

http://www.jetnation.com/

Just wanted to share this news with you guys. Remember these were just discussions but they did indeed happen. Do you guys have any thoughts about this potential trade?

Why would the Chiefs trade a likely top 10 pick for two washed up veterans?

This is a Jets' fan wet dream that will never happen.

I can't imagine this is true...

But as a Jet fan, I would give you our first round pick if you'd just take Chad Pennington from us.

The worst part is, you'd have dozens of Marshall fans that would be coming over here telling you how great Chad is while he throws pick sixes left and right and can't complete a pass more than 6 yards down field.

If this deal, or anything like it happens, I wont even make jokes like I did when Herm showed up... I'd honestly feel bad for you guys.

Just Horrible.

Just wondering, how is LT D'Brickashaw doing? Is he holding up at LT what you expect him to be?

D'Brick has been inconsistent...

If he was a mid-round guy, I'd love him...

Unfortunately, for the 4th overall pick he's been a bit disappointing.

You have to give him credit because he's started at LT from day one, played every game, and been solid. However, some games, he's gotten roughed up pretty good... However, at times, he's dominated some great competition.

My concern is his size... he floats at around 300 and has been known to drop below. He gets overpowered and not great push in the running game.

Part of the problem is that he is playing next to Adrian Clarke who is easily the worst starting LG in football and the only man who could make you miss Pete Kendall, who was servicable at best. Tannenbaum really screwed us on thatone.

Solice comes from the fact that he's only 23, and hopefully will be able to put on weight... also very few guys come out and play well at LT right off the bat. McNeil regressing makes me feel better about him... Joe Thomas being a borderline probowler makes me feel worse...

That is the studiest thing I have heard in a while. After reading JoPo's article the Chiefs will need every last draft pick they have plus some to get some new players in here.
