Any young QB's worth trading out of the 1st overall for?

Assuming the QB talent blows nutsack in the draft this year?

Colin Kaepernick is looking pretty nasty right now...

The year that we suck bad enough to obtain the #1 overall draft pick is the year there isn't a QB worthy of spending a #1 pick on.

Typical Chiefs luck.....this franchise is snake bitten...just like the ****ing Royals.

I like Geno Smith....however I don't think he's a Andrew Luck or RG3

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I hope Pioli was just an anomaly.

There rarely ever is.

Suck it up. Other teams draft non-Andrew Luck first round QBs and win Super Bowls with them. We can too

I understand the sentiment behind this post.
There have been a lot of QB's that weren't Luck or RGIII that have been very successful including winning SBs. That is not a fair assessment.
There have been a lot of World Series won and played in that didn't include Albert Pujols and or Alex Rodriguez and so on.
We don't have to have the very best QB but we do need a good one that can be acquired in this draft.
Brees is a very good elite QB but he can't do it without the rest of the team too.

That list doesn't look to good. Looks like he hits on the first rounder and misses more often on the rest.

Ross is a good guy, but here are my concerns:

1) he would probably hire Perry Fewell as his HC and that would mean a change back to the 4-3.

2) While he is promising, his drafts haven't been homeruns. They have been a hair above average.

3) Im not sure how he would handle the other responsibilities that come with being the GM...hiring and firing coaches, trading and signing players, etc.

I disagree. I think Barkley's been overanalyzed to the point of full reerunom. I'd be estatic if they took him. When it's all said and done I believe he'll be the first QB selected an lead this team for a decade plus.

I don't think Rex is getting fired. People are on him here but not enough IMO. Depends on how much of the blame falls on him and how much falls on Tanenbaum.
