Here are his statistics that I got off a website. Height: 5'11 Weight: 249 40 yard dash: 4.60 20 yard dash: 2.67 10 yard dash: 1.60 Wonderlic: 34 225 Lb. bench reps 32 Broad Jump: 9'4" Vertical Jump: 35 1/2 3-Cone Drill: 7.10 He had the highest Wonderlic of any ILB. I took down the website address because I noticed that going through google was allowing me to access all this stuff without being a member. I don't know the policy on here about stuff like that. Found another website that has his combine statistics. You have to scroll down a bit to find him. He is the 9th ranked ILB: http://www.azcardinal.com/05Dilb.htm It is funny that lots of these websites have Boomer ranked 2-5 spots ahead of the Lofa Tatupu guy that the Seahawks took in the 2nd. Just to put things in perspective. Out of 58 middle linebacker prospects listed on NFL draft scout here's how Boomer ranked in the following categories at the combine: 1st in 10 yard dash 1st in 20 yard dash 2nd in 40 yard dash 1st in vertical jump 3rd in 225 bench reps (32 reps) 1st in cone drill 2nd in the Wonderlinc I found it for you. |

I like Boomer, but the MLB group in this draft class is as weak as any draft I can remember. I would like to see how Boomer stacked up against all the LB's in the draft.
Being the leader of several categories within this MLB group doesn't impress me. |

The thing that impresses me the most about Boomer is one intangible that can't be put on any ranking chart.....ATTITUDE!!! Boomer kind of reminds me of Mike Manusky (one of my favorite players). He's satisfied just to play special teams and looks forward to laying the wood to the opposing team. If we could land just one Manusky type player each draft, I'de consider it a success and know our ST would be good for years to come.

When Rich Scanlon gets back from Europe and begins to mentor Boomer, we're going to have a monster on our hands.

Did Mike's brother Greg play for the Chiefs? (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)
