The current best of the Chiefs 2008 draft (besides Charles)

Jamaal Charles is the last of the Chiefs' supposedly glorious franchise-rebuilding draft class from 2008. The others either sucked or became cap casualties.

So here's a question. If you could have any one player back on the team from this draft class at his CURRENT level of ability, who would you take?

Since this is a thought experiment, ignore contracts and money. Imagine the NFL is going to pay for all contract expenses. The Chiefs would get to keep that player on the team for as long as they want until they believe he's washed up and can't benefit the team any more.

The player must also remain at the position they played for the Chiefs. Albert doesn't get to be moved to guard. Flowers CAN, however, be the team's slot corner.

Also, I'm only including players on the list who are currently in the NFL. I know you all still think Brian Johnston has the potential to be an outstanding pass rusher, but because he's gone from the league, he's not an option.

Poll forthcoming

Last I checked they had him at NT and he was actually doing pretty well. He was doing well against the run and actually notched a few sacks.

Can't believe he was so worthless rushing the passer with us..

I guess he's been ok?

Not top 5 pick decent though. Not even close.

My guess is if you put Carr and Flowers next to each other and gave Dorsey the option, he'd go with Carr because he has the size that they are looking for (6-0, 206, long arms). Pioli and Haley/Crennel chose Flowers.

Even though Carr has sucked in Dallas, it would be nice to have that one back considering the philosophy change...

By the end of last season, Fisher was playing at Albert's current level. Maybe better.

If you are talking about dumpster fires, Albert has been one for the majority of his pro career.

I've never understood the unadulterated love fest CP has had with the guy. Perhaps it was because he was our second of two first rounders that year and considered a "freebie" after taking Glenn Dorsey, who was vigorously jerked to by the CP collective when the pick was made and we also got a first round offensive linemen who was a college guard touted as being able to make the switch to tackle and kick major ass because he moved well for a college guard.

Idiots.

Both Fisher and Stephenson have substantially better tools, instincts and skills than Albert for the tackle position.

Albert will not be missed. Dolphin fans can rejoice watching him be a human turnstile or a horizontal speed bump or untimely false start/hold machine for the next portion of his career. Me, I'm happy we actually have guys capable of playing the offensive tackle position at the NFL level for the first time since Roaf and Tait were on the team.

Welp, after this glowing review it's settled:

No need to draft high round fatties for the next 5 seasons!

Sweet.

Crennel and Haley chose Flowers because Carr routinely sucked dog balls.

Burned like toast with regularity.

The guy couldn't cover shit. Made some highlight plays every so often then got beat like a drum with regularity.

Nobody has pissed me off on the team like Carr did when watching them the past ten years or so. ****ing guy routinely did some of the dumbest shit coverage I've ever seen from a Chiefs DB.

But because he was taller than Flowers, everyone around here thought he was King Shit on Turd Island.

Idiots squared.

Albert will probably lead the NFL in the least amount of penalties next season. Because God hates Kansas City
