The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.

Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)

Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:

Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel

Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too.

Months, it's amazing how overpriced crap bikes are...

Found it up in Burlington Junction....No sludge in case, tank was CLEAN, rebuilt brakes, new speedo..rewired...butt ton of extra parts...30k...getting new exhaust, tires and steering bearings.

yeah, I'm all too familiar with over-priced bikes. Hell, I just got the Street Glide lol.
100 year old technology, air cooled bike, but $$$.

Victory's are engineered way better and are probably more reliable....but I still love the HD, even though it's over priced.


You planning on keeping her stock? or are you doing any mods to her?

I wish Victory made a bike that had GPS built in like the new Harley..that's the only thing holding me back from buying a new Victory..I also like the Road Glide for its shark nose fairing that's attached to the frame..if Victory had those 2 things I would have a new one

Added a fairing to the Road Star a few weeks ago. Never had a fairing or windscreen before, and I have to say I'm fond of it.
