The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.

Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)

Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:

Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel

Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too.

Why do I keep tormenting myself and opening this thread. I need a ride so bad, will be my first, would have had one by now, but knocked up the little lady about 11 months ago so I have a baby to play with instead...wouldn't trade it, but...damn.

Indeed they are.

damn thing pushes me off the seat under hard acceleration. I think peak torque is like at 3k RPM or something ridiculously low.

lol. Yep. I got a 3/4 helmet yesterday on sale for $40, normally $90. My old street bike gloves seem to do the trick.
though my mesh (one of them) sport bike jackets was a little 'tight'....apparently Dayze has gained weight lol. That particular jacket was from like 2002. I have another I bought 3 years ago that probably fits a lot better.

But I definitely want more of a retro type jacket. Luckily a Cycle Gear store is 1/8th mile from my house.

$40? Sweet. I just got all 3 of my boys new helmets and they were$150 each.
