Who is the nicest pro athlete you have ever met.

I met Cal Ripken Jr a few years ago and he was totally cool.

For me personally Art Still has definitely been the coolest I've met, though Danan Hughes and Henry Baker (?) were extremely cool during our local Chiefs vs, firefighters basketball games. They usually have 3 older players and 3 newer players and they'll play a game and sign autographs during halftime and after the game. They're usually all extremely nice.

My brother met Tony Richardson at the Independence, KS Walmart and said he was very nice. He even got me an autographed picture cuz my brother said I was such a big fan.

My expectation was that I would just say hi and thank him for his days as a Chief, but it turned into a 30 minute conversation about anything and everything non-Chiefs related. Very cool guy and quite a bit more intelligent than I had expected him to be.

Havent met any pro athletes. But last year at the Bills game, we were at the railing where the players come out of the tunnel and the only one who would shake hands was Fujita. I thought that was cool.

I had a long conversation with the great Jesse Haynes the summer in which he was compared to Barry Sanders and such. He was really cool even though he never panned out.

We met Ernie Shavers (heavyweight boxer in the 70's) who signed an autograph for us. Then we had a rather lenthy conversation about a variety of topics ranging from some of his most memorable fights to my kids playing a variety of sports. He even posed for a picture acting as if I was giving him an uppercut and another with my youngest daughter (around 3-4 at the time) sitting on his knee.

I talked to Donnie Edwards a few times coming out of Arrowhead. I have several of his autographs and knew he wanted to play for the Bolts long befor he even become a free agent. His family lives there and he grew up there as a Bolt fan. So it was only fitting that he got to play for the team he grew up a fan of as a kid.
