This is family court so whoever is leaking information should be ashamed. Until it becomes a criminal matter all reporters that are doing this for headlines, I wish the worst upon you.

well, if the kid is in state custody then he probably doesn't have to pay child support right

When my daughter was 4 she had issues with balance because of issues with her ears. She was walking past my wife and I, pretending to need to use the bathroom for the 10th time, but it was really just an excuse to not go to bed.

As she walked past we said something to her, and she turned her head to look back, and literally just fell down. But, I heard a popping or snapping sound, and she immediately said she hurt her leg and couldn't stand on it.

We took her to her pediatrician's the next day, they took x-rays and she her leg was fine, and she should try to put weight on it. And we proceeded to make her walk on her leg for 2 weeks.

Finally, we went back to her pediatrician's office, and they suggested she may have hit her head when she fell, and she was dragging her leg as she walked as a result from head trauma. This sounded wrong to my wife and I, so we drove her to Children's Mercy. We took her original x-ray with us.

The pediatric radiologist looked at her original x-ray and diagnosed a spiral fracture without seconds. That's not hyperbole. He explained that a normal radiologist really wasn't trained on reading x-rays of children so young, so they often miss spiral fractures.

She was immediately put into a cast, she chose hot pink, and in 8 weeks her spiral fracture was healed.

My point being twofold; either the spiral fracture was bad enough that it could be read and diagnosed easily by a radiologist, or the child has been thoroughly checked for spiral fractures by a pediatric radiologist, probably based on other visible abuse markers.

I am not saying Hill had anything to do with it, or the mother, as it is entirely possible for a child to obtain a spiral fracture without being abused.

This just makes me feel like this situation is a money grab by the grandmother or both the mother and grandmother. Because child support for a person making a couple of million per year, is 5 figures monthly.

This is where you lost me.

Why even speculate that when we have little or no information. Cool your heels and let the process unfold.

I agree the Star really needs to get her off this assign someone else. Honestly she seems to emotional to report accurately in this matter.

This is Florio’s 3rd headline in less than 12 hours on the matter.

But it's not as if the Star or the local news stations are just making up details about the investigation. They all have MUCH more information than what they've publicly run with and are not reporting every "he said, she said" that has been relayed to them by people involved in the situation. THAT would be irresponsible journalism.

It's my hope that this can be a serious learning process for both of the parents and a wake up call to get their stuff together. Pretty sure we obviously all really hope that Tyreek is on the Chiefs and catching balls from Mahomes for many years to come. But if some of the more serious allegations are true, and if professionals believe there is no hope education/reform can put the kid in a better situation, then so be it. Fandom aside, whether or not Tyreek plays again matters little in the scope of the health and well being of a freaking 3 year old. And it's not like he hasn't already been given the gift of a second chance.
Once again ...

There is an established difference between reporting verifiable facts (as known at the time) and utilizing innuendo, insinuation, and implication in order to foster interest (read; views, clicks, subs, etc.) in a particular story and generate revenue from it. A ton of information is available on this subject if you're interested ... including a very significant amount of case law. Make no mistake; salaciousness sells and editors know it.

In this specific situation, the KC media has either used ominous headlines (and tweetage), conflation with past horrors committed by other Chiefs, and suggestive, titillating story leads to serve their interest. Or, they've packaged their sordid imputations in the form of pompous and sanctimonious "editorial opinion".

Then we have the sports radio jockeys who have really set a high bar. Come on, man.

Why is she allowed to report on family law? It’s a private matter and should be treated as such.

This should be private. This is what’s pissing me off the most. Until it becomes criminal and public all media reporting this should get cancer and die.

So do I, Mr. kcpasco.

People can be very stubborn and many of us were apparently born to find the extreme edge of every generally accepted parameter of deportment.

So what do you do? Sit your child in a corner until their brain evolves and their emotions mellow? Or, do you cut to the chase and use violence to establish the boundaries of acceptable behavior?

I lean toward a combination of both reason and ass-whooping.

Really good read on the Tyreek Situation

https://arrowheadaddict.com/2019/04/...r-perspective/

Basically, Tyreek will more then likely not be charged. Also he will probably get his kid back somewhere down the line as long as he is making progress.

I agree. And if it was a money grab, why now wait until after he signed a mega deal this offseason. For all we know, they could be totally innocent or totally complicit. That's a pretty big conclusion to jump to that id prefer to stay away from. But that accusation definitely doesn't add up for me.

Well, the good thing is it doesnt seem to be affecting the actual investigation. However, that's not the case with public opinion. Which, in many cases, is the intent.

I made a couple of comments on there about the KC Star being the source and that the Star is clickbait but all my comments were removed. Florio is trash!

The public is already calling for Reid’s head and what a trash organization this is and also that Tyreek should never play a snap again for the Chiefs
