I heard this morning on the radio that the Jets will release him. Do we still want him? Can we afford him?

We have over 13 million invested in our current starting CBs for '06. That's about 15% of the total cap.

I seriously doubt we want that percentage to get higher.

If he wants to play for Herm and will sign for league min. I'm sure we could bring him in to compete for the position against Warfield.

while I think he could only make our secondary stronger, he will want too much money, and as stated we dont want/have the money to invest in that area any more.

I really don't think we can afford or really need a new CB

I'm happy with what we got, give Surtain and Warfield a chance to play an entire year together.
