Changing things up a little in Round 3. I will present five scenes, and you will pick your TWO favorite scenes. The top two vote-getters will advance to Round 4, and others will have a chance at a wildcard spot.

Pulp Fiction and Ripley

Another really, really strong heat. My votes:

#1 - Pulp Fiction. I really think this one could take the whole tournament. It's hard to see anything beating it.

#2 - Young Frankenstein. You know what I love about this scene? Other than the hilarious lyrics by the monster, I love that this is a capsule of all of our ambitions. We have great plans and we work really hard and we get most of the way there, but things always take a little longer and are a little harder than we thought. The doctor had these great plans of unveiling his perfect monster, but he didn't quite get where he needed to be on his deadline. Who among us hasn't had that problem?

#3 - Ferris Bueller's Day Off - I love this scene, and the music and facial expression of Rooney is comedy at its finest. I just can't quite put it above the top two scenes, though. That's a tough one.

#4 - The Natural - Perhaps the most artistically appealing scene ever. It's beautiful. It's a work of art. But this is a tough heat and a baseball scene won't do it for me.

#5 - Aliens - It's a really good scene. But it's a little too dark and violates physics a little too often to move into Round 4.

I always meet my deadlines because I am never dead, until of course the day I die, then I won't have to worry about it because I will be dead so I'm good on deadlines.

I love that Pulp Fiction scene! I also like the beginning of the scene, which unfortunately is not included in your clip.

I don't remember what comes before that. Can you refresh my memory? It does seem like this kind of starts in the middle of the action.

I mentioned in round one that the whole scene was great and should be included. From the time they arrive outside the door and when they realize they're a couple of minutes early, they step to the side and continue the conversation about Marcellus's wife and the foot rub. Then they enter the apartment, and this scene starts:

I'm a little surprised at The Natural. It's a great scene, but I didn't think it would make it through a tough heat.
