WTF?? You asked whether or not Quinn had talent around him like we did? I pointed out, we were starting players like Jones and Pope last year(when the comparable stats for Cassel occured), which should have given you a clue that Cassel wasn't work with much last year, thus answering your question.

I see one as a stop-gap (the one year contract backs that theory), because the third stringer isn't ready to take over the number two spot, but I have little faith in Quinn miraculously turning into something he hasn't shown to be, thus far. Stanzi, I have some understanding of seeing what he has due to his age, but he's still raw and needs a lot of work. I'll be ecstatic if he earns the number two spot, but until then, he's just another late round QB fighting for a roster spot, when we've seen this so many times and it's never worked out for us. I'm holding out little hope that he actually turns into a fabulous starting QB in the league, because I've yet to see the Chiefs develop a QB worth a shit, let alone a late round QB. Wish it wasn't so, but that's the way I see it.

http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=310130032 According to the link Cassel threw 2 TDs and 2 INTs, the same as Rivers and better than Peyton Manning's 0 TDs and 1 INT.

Don't come in barking up this ****ing tree. You're not even a Chiefs fan. Consider it a an honor to discuss the topics at hand, but don't think your opinion holds much stock around here, when discussing our players.
I have never once defended Cassel, merely pointed out, FACTS, that hopefully, bring some insight to the discussion and keep the blinded from cornering the market on such witty insight as "Cassel sucks." I prefer to actually discuss the issues, but so many use vauge and broad brushstrokes that bare little fruit and use the dog-pile mentality. I prefer to keep it real. Cassel has player better than Quinn. Period. I know that doesn't fall in line with average Cassel sucks fan, but I really don't give a shit, because I'm interested in the facts, not somebody's opinion. Do I think Cassel is great? No, far from it, but I'm also not so ****ing blind, that I'm going to ignore the actual numbers that support how they play on the field, when it counts.

You're guessing. Perhaps they've moved the bar on what is considered a QBotF but a 52.1% 5.4 ypa and a 10/9 TD/INT ratio for a QB that hasn't thrown a single pass in the last 3 seasons indicate career backup to me. It was like calling Todd Collins a QBotF.

Put Quinn as Tom Brady's backup.......spending the entire time learning from Belicheck, Weis and McDaniels......and then put him in as the starter with Moss and Welker......and he'd be worse than Cassel? If you honestly think that.....you're ****ing stupid. |

Drew Bledsoe attempted 70 passes in one game. I don't care if Quinn hasn't thrown a pass in three years--as long as it isn't Cassel, I don't care who is the QB. |
