Marcus Peters and Justin Houston
We took a chance on them with their character and it has paid off. Both are great teammates on top of their play and don't draw attention off the field. After Peters took his big penalty he went to every Chief player on the field and took ownership for his actions. I love his intelligence level and ability to funnel his attitude in the right way. Really can't say enough about him.

We don't really know what kind of team mate Peters is going to be. He looks like he can lose it pretty easily. Not that he will, just that he might.

I love peters. We desperately needed someone on this defense with that kind of attitude. You're not going to find a great defense that didn't/doesn't have a few "crazy" players. We could really use another Hyper competitive guy like peters in the front 7.

I do agree though guys that fall in the draft should be no brainers... They work out more often than not. Easier for an elite talent to stay out of trouble than a mediocre talent to become elite.

I so miss Jared Allen. Too bad we had to go to a 3-4 defense and virtually make him useless to us.

All the attitude issues remind me of bernard pollard. Pollard has been mostly fine attitude wise in the nfl and teammates seem to like him, but he still seemed to pick some fights with his front office and coaches.

But I'd take that pollard attitude with marcus peters talent every day of the week.

That's a good comparison. Carter was perceived to have character issues, too but the talent was always there. He matured some and turned into one the best in the league for a time. Hopefully, Peters will do that, as well. Hell, he's already proving to be one of the best in the league, IMO.

And if you're going to pick a guy to have that edge on the front 7, I think you'd love it to be your anchor.

If Poe were A) as healthy and effective as he'd been in the past and B) had just a little Suh in him, this team would be an absolute bear to play against.

I'm curious to see what they do with Poe, contractually.

I like the other dude up there whose name always escapes me.

Anyway, if they could lock up berry who seems to be playing free safety like he never has, with houston and poe were to be healthy, added to Peters that's a good young core.
