There isn't enough Talent to make 32 competitive teams. Watering this shit down with more teams is only good for more profit

Dumb, if they want to expand abroad. Start small. Mexico. Playa del Carmen would be great.. London, would be a nightmare for that team and any team that travels there.

ya, maybe we could build the stadiums with US tax $$$$ in Mexico City -- we could just include it in with the budget to police their borders and give them cop cars, guns, drones and prisons and judges and stuff. it's gonna be real cool.

If it weren't for the logistics, London would be a great market.
But you can't get around the logistics. No way they should do this until the glitches in Star Trek transporter technology get ironed out. |

I have read where the NFL gave a ton of tickets away every time to put butts in seats in London.

London is the size of NYC and they love sports. There is a ton of money in that city. The NFL wouldn't displace soccer, but if San Diego can support at 1/6th the size, London would have no problem. |

I don't think there is any established interest in europe -- as mentioned the NFLE is defunct. more than this, how many more teams can the NFL support? I mean, do you have any idea what it would look like have a bunch of 2nd teamers playing our guys? The NFL barely has enough personnel as is. In fact, I'd like to see it cut 2 teams so I can see better quality football.

Teams playing in London would be at a vast competitive disadvantage. Look how hard it is for teams to make the trip from coast to coast and that is just 3 time zones. It would be many times that difficult going 5-8 time zones difference.

They do that regularly to make sure the games are shown locally here in the states. Wembley has a capacity of 90,000. That's 5000 more than FedEx in Washington.

It's doable - the team would need a facility in the USA (east coast I guess) and you'd want to fly there on the Tuesday after the game in london. Then you'd want to fly back to London pretty soon after the game in the USA.
London to NY is not an awful lot worse than NY - LA. It would be a competitive disadvantage for sure but stuff like that already exists. The Broncos play at 1600M ASL - I'd rather spend 8 hours on a plane 5 days before the game than play the game at that altitude. |
