Has Pioli would away from the tree?

Drafting Berry over Okung didn't seem like the Patriot way. Reading all of Whitlocks articles you'd think Pioli had an ego but it seems like Josh McDaniels is the one with the Patriots ego. So did last nights draft change anyone elses prospective about Pioli?

and if it happens it will be the happiest I've ever been as a Chiefs fan and they can draft Mecca himself at #50 and I won't even be angry because...

Berry/Clausen = we won the draft with two picks.
God yes! And we could still fix the defense in a big way with those next 6 picks.

It'll likely depend on how the rest of this draft goes. I've never believed that a guy who was content to sit in Belichick's shadow for so long has an ego in the sense that it was being portrayed. But ego has little to do with poor decisions.

The rest of this draft will probably let us know whether or not last year could at least in part be attributed to the guy not having his own personnel people in place and not really knowing as much about the players on the roster as he does today.

I found it interesting that Gretz mentioned today that Gibbs in Seattle was talking about how badly Bill Muir wanted Russell Okung. Guess he was overruled...
