If you have a kid over 10 and you don't want them to play GTA this is a good alternative. It's rated T so the language and violence is in check.
I think I'm gonna pick this up today. My son loves it and I dug the demo so I might try to get it. This or Punch-Out for the Wii.

Haven't played the InFamous demo yet, but will be this weekend. Looking forward to trying it out...

I love punchout for Wii, so much fun so far. You can play classic NES style controller mode or using the nunchuck and wiimote, which is more fun imo and harder

I am picking up my 2nd PS3 tomorrow from a Coworker for $270. I believe it is a 40 GB.

He got it 6 months ago and only played it a couple times.

Score.

Theres a reason why I need a second one, but I wont get into that.

I need help coming up with a new PSN ID for this new machine. He never even signed up for online, so I still get to do that.

Suggestions?

For the n00bs my other one is BuckinKaeding

Pretty much. This one will strictly be a DVD / Blu-Ray player, but I may venture into the video gaming aspect of it every once in a while.

I'm tired of my damn Sony BDP-S300 Blu-Ray player taking over a minute and a half to turn on and another minute to open the tray, then another minute to load whatever is on the disc. Plus it cant play data discs.

I am not really gonna video game too much in my bedroom, I just need a decent DVD/Blu-Ray player, so this works out great.

Damn, that sounds exactly like what my Sony DVD Recorder does. Drives me up the wall.

Strange how the PS3 has such quick load times compared to other Sony items, I guess its because theres a lot more tech on the inside of it.

Hell, my son just beat inFamous on Evil and is halfway done on the Good profile now. Outside of the side missions, he won't have much left to do.

Yeah, I was up til 1 am playing it. Any time you go to collect some blast shards the reapers show up form all over the place. On "good" I just unlocked the sniper-ish action. Haven;t left the one island yet. Neon district is about 50 percent secured.

Playing as evil cole (at work) is pretty fun cuz you can just go berzerk all over the city, it's kinda easier because you can blow everything up to kill the reapers, and the side missions are more raucous.
