No. It's Person A with a US bank account writing a check to Person B in a foreign country.
Or sending a cashier's check. This isn't offshoring of funds or anything. It's also an absurdly de minimis amount of money, so nobody wants to incur wire fees or anything. |

My father in law sent his driver in Mazatlan a check last year that took several weeks to clear. Since wire fees are out of the question, maybe a travelers check?

You might want to try an international money order.You can get them from any large post office.

Go to the post office and get then send an International Money Order. They should be able to cash it at their local post office. Cost is $3.85 for up to $700
