Trees are going down.
There's just too much wet snow which is adding tremedous weight and strain on the trees. Power outages are already happening around town and could get worse by the end of the day. Being cooped up in the house has made Cosmic quite the baker: I've already made a batch of homemade dog bisquits, a batch of brownies, a batch of spaghetti sauce cooking in the crockpot, a bowl of salad made and I'm opening a bottle of wine. Let it snow!

I'm sure glad that I had the foresight to seek shelter. If I was just living out on the plains, I'd be really cold and wet right now.

I'm sitting here watching the Masters in Augusta. It's all green. Big, beautiful luscious green.
Look out my window though and it's white. Everything is white.

Here's a live view of Interstate 25 at Monument Hill. Monument Hill is the highest point on the highway between Denver and Colorado Springs (maybe 7,500 feet), and tends to get more snow.
Looks like a slow day on the highway. I think they closed it. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/wxca...06/detail.html

Pretty slow at the Eisenhower Tunnel, too. I think it's closed as well.
The Tunnel is at something like 11,000 feet. My first year in Denver, they had to close it down on July 4th due to a snowstorm. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/wxca...60/detail.html
