Franklin Park Man Charged After Using Snowblower
Snow Situation
Somebody needs to take a chill pill Steve Negri says that a plow driver accused him of throwing snow into the street while he used the device in his driveway. A Franklin Park Borough man is facing an assault charge after using his snowblower. Steve Negri says that a plow driver accused him of throwing snow into the street while he used the device in his driveway. He says tempers flared as he explained that the snowblower can throw snow 20 feet or so across the street. By then, Negri says they both threatened to call the police. He says the driver got back in his truck, but instead of leaving, he gave him one more warning. "When he got out of the vehicle is when I was pulling the trigger for the snowblower and it shot him with snow and shot the cab with snow," Negri explained. "He started wiping himself off and he started screaming, 'You're going to get it now!'" Eventually, two Franklin Park Borough police officers showed up to investigate. On Tuesday, Negri says an officer told him he would be charged with assault for allegedly throwing snow on a borough employee. "When I asked, 'Well did you ask the neighbor across the street who actually started this?' He says, 'I don't need to.' "I said, 'What do you mean you don't need to? It's part of the investigation.' "He said, 'Look I've known him for 17 years - I know who he is I don't know you so we'll just let a judge sort this out,'" Negri said. KDKA-TV's Bob Allen tried to contact Franklin Borough Police for an explanation of the charge, which is a summary offense. Negri says he looks forward to settling the matter in court. I can certainly understand the homeowner being upset over the repeated passes in the neighborhood that would throw the snow back on the apron of the driveway. But for the snowplow driver being upset at the blowing of the snow from the driveway, come on man, give me a break.

So the neighbor is a city employed plow-man??? Translation: "You think the carpet-pissers did this?" |

My eyesight is bad, and I'm reading this in a dark room, and at first I thought the thread title said, "Franklin Park Man Charged After Abusing Snowblower". So this thread has disappointed.

It might be hotter than blazes when this goes on the court docket. I would think the judge will be laughing inside over this.

They always go with the traffic, so I blow the snow out of the street on my side for about 20 feet. It leaves them with no snow to put back in my drive. |

Move to a warmer state where snow doesn't happen.
He probably complains that the government doesn't clear the roads in the middle of a snow storm quick enough. He probably calls the government and says his ditch is wet during a rain storm. |

Don't they get a lot of snow up around Pittsburgh? Might not be wise to tick off the guy that runs the snow plow down your street. Just sayin'.

The snow plow guy in my neighborhood put a 3 foot wall of snow in front of my driveway this year. Needless to say my wife wasn't happy when she got home from work and couldn't get in the driveway. It was pretty ridiculous because the snow didn't get piled up anywhere but in front of my driveway. I don't know what I did to piss him off, but if I was home to witness it, I'd have been the one in the newspaper.
