Food everyone else loves, but you think is overrated
Just thinking about foods that everyone else seems to think is the greatest thing ever, and you just don't get...

Me: Nutella. I'd never tried it until today when someone at the grocery store had samples of those little snack packs. So I tried it. It's not bad, but it's certainly overrated.

So I'm trying to think of other things like this. What do you have for me?

Add another vote for Guacamole. To me it tastes like a big wet plate of bland mushiness that has little flavor. I've been served "authentic" guac many times as well and while it tastes much better than the pre-made crap at restaurants, the improvement is still minor. I can eat it but I never order it or avocados.

Others on my list:

-Primanti Brothers sandwich in Pittsburgh. Just a big sandwich of carbs with little to no special flavors
- Pat's Cheesesteak or Geno's Cheesesteak in Philly. Both taste like the shit they served in the school cafeteria.
-McDonald's french fries
-Five Guys burgers or fries
-I don't like salmon at all. Tastes too fishy for me yet I eat most sushi, go figure.
-ANY and ALL delivery pizza including Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, or Little Caesars. They are all disgusting and growing up in the New Jersey and New York area spoiled me forever
-IHOP and Denny's. I hate most breakfast places and these are filled with extremely fat white trash folks who are eating before they head to Wal-Mart
-Starbucks. A complete waste of money and their coffee makes my stomach ill
-Nachos of any kind. Another dish I see ordered all the time including by many of my friends. Never ordered one and think it is disgusting.
-Chili cheese fries. Turns good crispy fries into a plat of messy goop
