usually when the season is over, win or lose, playoffs or not, I am full of hope for the next year...not this year...I'm full of dread...

the players, some if not most, feel no loyalty to Gun...justifyably imo...and I'm sure more than a few will leave rather then stay if something positive isn't done.

Grbac, may not be here next year...they have to renegotiate...the Chiefs can't take the 10 mil hit...but Grbac deserves a raise, and more freedom to call his own plays...so Grbac stays if we give him more freedom and get rid of JR...

It's all up to King Carl...will he be able to appease the players if he keeps Gun?...will he fire Gun?...if he keeps Gun, will Gun get rid of the stooges?...will CP get Grbac under contract without or will he just say **** you, we can't afford you...and start a new "five" year plan...I couldn't handle that...

Will Carl go after the big name RB?...can we afford it?

So many questions and no answers...I guess the next couple of months will be very interesting...I hope that what I see turns my dread to hope again...

I am hoping that a condition of Gun keeping his job would be cleaning out the office space of the stooges. Granted this should have been done last year. I am really torn on whether or not JR should be kept. The offense has been pretty good the last 2 years. He just needs to mix it up more, not be so predictable. It would be intersting to hear what JR plans to do next year to become less predictable.

Joe - Here is an interesting fact, Chiefs were number 15 in penalty yards this year and were tied with Oakland for forth in number of penalties. So one thing improved from last year, other then the passing game.

If Carl signs Dillon, Raye has no problem.

58 Forever,

I felt sorry for you until you mentioned "Grbac calling his own plays".

Now I think I feel much worse than you.

Now i'm positive your from Missouri. Only a native Missourian would quote a song from 'Hee Haw.'

MI - Odd that it was someone in MI that knew that and knew enough to point it out.

No idea what quote MI is talking about.

Come on MI, the Hee Haw girls were babes in their day...and Morph is right, it took a non-Missourian to point it out...

want the whole verse?...I know it sad as that is...besides the hooters the girls always flashed on the show, that song is the only thing I remember...

Clint, I heard or read that that was something that EG wants...the ability to call more of his own plays...and you know what, I'm not going to argue with him...he may know better what to call then JR...

So much work to do...I hope King Carl doesn't sit on his *** for the next two months...hope I start hearing or reading about changes now...

but you met another and [pppphhhbbttt] you were gone.

Gloom, despair and agony on me. . . Oh-oohh!!
Deep, dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. . . Oh-oohh!
Gloom, despair and agony on me.

Over-head, thanks for trying to cheer me up but even bad/good news about the Raiders won't cheer me up...now, next year, when Rison is bitching and moaning because he doesn't want to share time with Rice...that will cheer me up...you guys are gonna regret signing Rison... :p

A lot was made earlier in the week that pRison was belly-aching that Rice would mess up the mix. But I saw somewhere yesterday that Gannon was saying pretty strongly that HE didn't want Rice there either.

Has the makings of a chemistry disaster in Oaktown [rubbing hands gleefully].

JC, if that is true, then that does cheer me up a little...nothing like hearing bad things coming out of other camps...and from a team that's going to the playoffs... :D

MI..."I did kind of like the girls though"...right if you were like most red blooded men, you drooled over Misty Rowe as much as I did...
