Just watched it and quite enjoyed it. Its a nicely scaled down Super Hero flick. Loved the unique Japan setting, and the entire mid section was sort of quiet and reflective. The action scenes were also very well done and not over scaled.

Stay for the credits hidden scene. You will be glad you did.

I did not see the credits.

But it was meh to me. Hated the final fight scene. Also hated how they tied xmen3 into it.

I liked it, similar to Man of Steel where there were spots that could've been better. Alot of critics say that this was the Wolverine movie they had been waiting for, and I would tend to disagree. The Wolverine movie I want will be when the character and Xmen are rebooted.

Jackman is really great, he's been a mixed bag over the films he's portrayed Wolverine in but here he does a great job. He swears, he gets punished throughout the movie, he just seems more like Wolverine than in any other movie... but he's just not Wolverine in the end of it all. I think Jackman is really maturing as a great actor since the Prestige and Les Miserables, but in order to become one of the better actors of our generation he has to shed Wolverine and let someone else do it. I know it's mostly Fox's call, and he's not going to turn down a payday, but I think for the better Xmen needs to be redone from the ground up. It really depends on how Xmen Days of Future Past does, if it doesn't do as well as the Marvel films as of late, they'll reboot it. Also Jackman is not getting any younger, and it starts to show in this film.

Things I loved:

The acting: overall everyone put in a really good performance except for Viper, but in the trailers you knew she would be the side villain and just another pretty face.

The love story: It consumes the middle of the movie so it slows down the pacing a good bit, but it's a great aspect of Logan's story. I thought that they overused Jean in this film, she has quite a few shots, becoming more of a nuisance than a ghost from his dreams, but Mariko, besides being a gorgeous actress, did a really good job alongside Logan. Yukio was also very strong, overall the females in this movie were very well represented.

Lack of a language barrier: When you see movies that go over to foreign countries, the actors and actresses they get sometimes tend to be hard to understand when they speak in English, and that didn't really happen here. The dialogue was good throughout the movie and I didn't have difficulty understanding what was just said.

Action scenes: Everyone says they love the bullet train sequence. While that's good and all, I loved the swordplay in this movie, Shingen's fight with Logan in particular. The bullet train, imo was over too quickly, and had too many unbelievable moments with guys being able to be on top of it going 300 mph.

Things I didn't like:

That ending....
Spoiler!

In the end I won't let the last 30 minutes dictate my movie going experience because I believed the first hour and thirty minutes was a really great time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 7.5/10 is about right for this movie, 8.5 or 9/10 if you take away that damn ending and give us something better.

Oh yeah and stay for the scene after the credits. Worth it.

I didn't hate the movie, but I was disappointed enough in it that I just got up and walked out when the credits rolled. Doh. Can you describe the post-credit scene in spoilers for me?

Wolverine is a pretty cool character but I thought this movie sucked. Honestly, I'd actually prefer Wolverine: Origins over this one..
