Probably will look into the God of War and Little Big Planet games too, as I've heard a lot of good things, but haven't really played them much at all. For whatever reason, I never really got into the MGS franchise growing up, but its something I'll definitely take a look into. Appreciate the recommendations.
if you're a fan of ratchet and clank, you will love jak and daxter hd collection created by the same guys who made uncharted and the last of us. Sly cooper is really good but I think you should hold off on that one until you've experienced ratchet and clank and jax.

i forgot to mention god of war, those games are excellent as well.

MGS4 is very good and cheap too. all the games i listed, you could easily get them for 20 dollars or under.

It's gotten better. I know I have a bunch left. Right now I'm in the sewers after having just escaped the city. Now that I'm used to the controls....they aren't as bad as I originally thought. Still disappointed in some aspects of the game. I know it's supposed to be about survival and not unlimited ammo but FFS...soldiers and other people are shooting at me...and they don't drop dick? 1 or 2 bullets every once in a while would be nice.

I'd give it a 9 out of 10. The story is obviously what makes this game. The slow start is what keeps it from getting all 10 from me. There were times in the beginning that I wanted to stop playing because it was either frustrating as **** or the action was just lacking. Once it picked up though.....I couldn't stop playing. I think that the end of the Ellie/David shit hit harder than the ending of the game.

Yeah when you get to Fall it lulls a little bit again but then Winter is the best part of the game. I noticed the cops not dropping ammo when you have to sneak past them in the rain, I was pretty upset at that too.

It gets a lot better? Thank god. I'm still early in the game. I'm right at the part where you meet the black Firefly chick. So far the only thing that has really impressed me a lot are the graphics. Game looks amazing.

It got a lot better. Like I said before.....the first 25-30% of the game is beyond ****ing slow. It's also frustrating when it doesn't need to be. Keep going...

Yep...slow start for sure, def look at everything and get good at 'listening' and stealth attacks.

IMHO How could they not make this a franchise? This game is one of, if not the best game ever created. I know xbox people that went out and bought used PS3's just to play this game.
Naughty Dog would be morons to not make a 2nd installment. Christ, they've green-lit a movie FFS.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...e-last-of-us-2

UPDATE 24/02/2014: The Last of Us' creative director Neil Druckmann has stated on a Reddit AMA that he feels like there's a 50/50 chance of a sequel to The Last of Us getting made.

"If you're asking about a sequel... right now I'd say it's 50/50," he stated. Do you like those odds? Well do ya, punk?

ORIGINAL STORY 07/02/2014: Naughty Dog is currently considering its options regarding a sequel to The Last of Us, its critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic action game that launched to critical and commercial acclaim early last year.

Talking the week before the PlayStation 3 game gets its first and only single-player DLC, a prequel that explores some of the origins of main character Ellie, writer and creative director Neil Druckmann has said that Naughty Dog's looking at how best to approach a sequel.

"We just wrapped up Left Behind, and Bruce Straley, the game director, and I have been doing this for over four years now. So it's just time for a break, and to recharge the batteries," Druckmann told Eurogamer.

"We have started brainstorming some stuff. To be honest, some of them are sequel ideas, and some of them are brand new IP - we've spent the last few weeks brainstorming new IP. So we have to get some good steps and see... It's kind of like how we approached Left Behind. Can we tell people a story that's really worth telling, and that's not repeating itself? And if we can't, where can we get inspired - what is something that's really going to challenge us, and push storytelling in this medium forward?"

Naughty Dog now has two teams internally, with one working on an Uncharted game for PlayStation 4. There had been some speculation that The Last of Us would be bundled with its new story DLC for a PlayStation 4 port, though there's nothing to share on that just yet.

"We have such limited resources, and it's a question of where you put the resources," Druckmann said of the possibility of a PlayStation 4 port of The Last of Us. "It's something where we can have a feel of where the demand is, and where our time is best spent. It's something that we'll figure out as we move forward."
