Any music thread turns into a rush thread. Can we not just build some goddamn camps to put these people in?

I was a big fan of Def Leppard back in the day. I've always wondered if the frequent problems in between the early albums sapped them of some of their best creative time.

He came back with them a few times after the Adrenalize CD....but only for a few songs.
He basically met Shania and turned her into country musics version of them. I always thought alot of her songs had a similar sounding drumbeat to them.

He's one of the greatest producers, ever. Not only does he compose, arrange, program drums and synths but he's an amazing singer as well. He's responsible for hundreds of vocal tracks for both DL and Shania. |

Dave Weckl is incredible too. Plays a traditional style, but just owns around a drum kit.

And while we're talking percussion, have you seen Godsmack do their drum Battles? Shannon Larkin is awesome and entertaining as hell

I am not sure if you have read Sully's book- it is pretty incredible what he overcame to be where he is. He has a Lot of heart- and is a terrific drummer and singer as well. They put on a hell of a show with the drum solo being a highlight. Larkin can smash the skins pretty good but still says Sulley is better? |

I've interviewed Sully so many times, I almost don't know what t ask him anymore...lol. He's a very emotional dude. He can be the coolest guy ever, or the biggest dick, although he's always very cool to me. When he sees me he immediately says my name with flair..."Carrrrrrr loooowwwwwww tahhhhhh". It's nice when they recognize and remember you right away. But then again, I've interviewed him at least 20 times in the last 14 or so years.

Def Leopard were good at their craft, and certainly didn't suck at playing it. But I was never a fan of that genre.

Pyromania was the first vinyl album I purchased with my "own" money. Played the shit out of that record.
Dane is right in saying they turned into a pop band, and it pretty much started with that album. There are some nice riffy harder songs on there, but the foundation was laid down for what they would become with Pyromania. |

But they almost sound like a completely different band if you listen to their early works versus anything from Hysteria. |

And no, I didn't go to St. Pius High School, so I wasn't allowed in Tiger's Records. |
