It's been 72 hours and they've spent the last 36 inking the biggest name available for coaches.

They're working on transition. Schefter is now saying that if it's NOT Heckert, it will be Dorsey.

Pioli is gone.

Keep in mind that it's January and the draft is like four months away. It would make perfect sense for Reid to keep Pioli around through the draft, to make sure he has the benefit of Pioli's team's work on the upcoming draft, and then let him go after the transition period is complete.

You guys are acting like if Pioli doesn't get the sword TODAY then the Chiefs are screwed. If I were Reid, I'd probably at least keep the guy through the draft anyway, even if he has ZERO input on anything else.

Actually, I was trying to tell the people that think he needs to get the sword today to CALM DOWN.

The Chiefs aren't screwed. Pioli had 100% full control for 4 years, Reid needs to pick his brain.

Take a couple of weeks. Suck as much info as you can and then kick him to the curb before the scouting combine.

Ok. I haven't seen those quotes, but I have no reason to think otherwise. It's definitely possible that Reid sweeps him out. Again, I was relaying what non-Chiefs sources were saying.
