Misc Tell me about Tampa Bay? What do you know? - Page 9

I told the company in Phoenix thanks but no thanks. Now, I've got a job in Tampa Bay that I've interviewed for, past the tech screen and HR wants to talk. What do I need to know about the area? Which ones are nice? Avoid? etc. Looks like you get beachfront property for 1/2 of what it was worth a year ago. Has the area real estate reached bottom yet?

The job would be at a military base in the area on the bay.

There is something called Gasparilla that will require you to dress like a pirate and get very drunk. On top of the rest of the drinking holidays, like Cinco de Mayo, the Fourth of July, and something Floridians call "the weekend", LOL. I swear, they love to drink down there. That's where I learned to dump salt on your coaster/napkin to keep your beer from sticking.

congrats brc, ive only been here for 8 years but i havent missed 1 chiefs game, i normally go to a bar called the Palms in Palm Harbor, because the owner always takes care of me by making sure the chiefs are on one of the 2 big screens, but i have also been to a place called eddies in dunedin, they have every game on a 42inch tv and lots of them and also been to buffalo wild wings-trust me you will not have a problem watching the chiefs. When is the move? The Chiefs play a preseason game at raymond james this year on aug 21st. good luck with everything.

Both Palms Grill & Eddie's would be a bit of a drive. BW3 has all the games on projection screens and I sometimes go to the one off US19 & Drew.

Also plan on going to the preseason game. Tickets should be cheap and easy to get.

Sounds like we are going to have a quorum to at least partly take over a bar and turn it into Arrowhead South.

Not too difficult. Especially since the Bucs are garbage right now and it's a preseason game.

I'm headed to RJ on the 21st from Cape Haze, FL for this. Hard Rock and a little pre season football should be fun.
