The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

I absolutely love it. It handles so well. Plenty of torque, and speed. I can't find anything to complain about it. Heck, even comes with a built in weather radio.

You should go down to the nearest dealership and give one a ride.

The 8-ball doesn't have a radio, just an iPhone Dock. Plus it doesn't have ABS or the highway pegs. Other than that, they are the same bike.

ordered this tonight on ebay using that make offer feature. I actually like that feature - I've never used it before. It was listed at $239 + shipping, and I got it for $210 + shipping. not bad I suppose. I hadn't seen them anywhere for less than 239. we each countered twice, but I wasn't going to counter a 3rd time just to try to save a few more pennies. I think $210 was a fair deal.
Thoughts? (note the emergency fuel bottle ) not my bike specifically, but same model and color. with a slightly different bag on it. what do we think?

also decided I needed a different seat for the upcoming Fayetteville run.
I don't think I have another 800+ mile weekend in my body on the stock seat: Not my bike; to a Mustand Wide Tripper solo for longer rides.

leading the pack somewhere around Branson. I think East on 86 going over Table Rock Lake headed towards 65 North. I think off of 39 South/Shell Knob.
sore ass most likely setting in; on the road probably 7 hours at this point. I remember going east hoping to god i would hit 65N because I knew I would just rail it into Branson (coming from the south)
