From what I've read , he didn't feel a pop.

I'm being uber optimistic as you can tell.

Depending on the severity. Could be 4+ weeks immobilized in a cast then rehab afterwards can take easily another several weeks as the leg muscle has atrophied and range of motion needs to be regained.

Yeah, they've gotta commit to getting it right no matter what.. I'd say he's done for the year either way. MAYBE a return in December.

I've also been going to college in a Athletic Training program and from what we've been taught so far is there are many complications with plantar and dorsiflexion after a complete tear in the Achilles. Also as most of you know there is usually if not always a pop or a snap that is quite audible. You can also visiually see the Achilles actually roll up the posterior calf and bunch up in a complete tear because the amount of tension the Achilles holds. So far it's been a weird situation where the obvious signs for a complete tear haven't been there but it's "suspected" by all the "professionals"

I didn't see it roll up, and there was a clear view on the replay.

Same, and if I do remember correctly with both of DJ's you could see his lower posterior leg actually shutter or "shake" when the rupture happened, could be wrong but that's off of pure memory.
