What's this stupid **** I just read that the Tigers/Royals game tomorrow night is blacked out in KC and Detroit because of the MLB exclusive window rule which runs from 7-10pm ET? The Royals were the only ones who could do anything about by changing the time of first pitch but they didn't and kept it at 7:10pm ET. No wonder you guys are fed up with this franchise. It's 2014 for crying out loud and Royals and Tigers fan won't be able to watch the game in real time.

Looks like on MLB.tv that Detroit is broadcasting the game.

Did I hear right, that Ned was prepared to send Billy Ray in for some relief pitching to follow Bueno?

For awhile there, we got kind of used to the Detroit Lions being blacked out on TV. But the Tigers? This is something different.

The Tigers will not be on live television Saturday night, when they play the Kansas City Royals at 7:10 p.m. The game falls during the exclusive window for Fox’s national game of the week, so it cannot air live on Fox Sports Detroit. It will be shown on a delayed basis, starting at 10 p.m. on FSD.

It’s a Major League Baseball rule. The Tigers can’t control it. FSD can’t control it. The only entity that could have prevented the blackout is the Royals, who could have moved the start time out of the 7-10 p.m. window.

But they didn’t, and the game will not be allowed to be shown live in the Kansas City market, either.

So that’s that.
