Arizona is going to struggle for a while this year. As we always do, we've played a very challenging schedule. We implemented a brand new motion offense that relies upon timing and smart guard play. In order for it to be really effecitve, we need to be able to shoot pretty well. Our best shooting player (Jawann McClellan) is out until December, and our Wooden Award canddiate power-forward (Hassan Adams) is trying to learn how to play shooting guard for the first time in his career.

All that is to say that our shooting is for shit, our offense is for shit and our chances at winning any given game are for shit... until we correct some of this.

I've been impressed with Houston so far, and they will be disruptive for lots of teams that they play this year.

They're a weird team. Probably a solid #3 in C-USA, though, with maybe UTEP challenging them. All of the godawful teams at the bottom will probably make it hard for us to get more than two teams into the dance this year, and I doubt Houston's got enough to get past UAB, but they should have a nice year.

They are going to be a streaky team... Who looks good at times and bad at others. You'll see that pattern both within games and throughout the season. They'll beat good teams and lose to horrid teams... all depending on how their shots are falling.

Most definitely. They beat a decent (but far from impressive) #25 LSU team on the road, after losing to a far from good (but not godawful) VCU team at home.
