I'd say put Flowers in Welker, Smith on Thomas, and Dunta/Cooper on Decker would give us the best matchups wise. Add that with our pass rushers against their depleted line and this seems like its going to be a solid matchup.

I'm in no hurry to face Denver until our offense figures its shit out - mainly our line needs time to get experience and gel. Also hoping for nasty weather.

The OL has played a lot better since we got it's two worst players off the field.

Fisher and Allen were sucking out loud and getting replaced with Stephenson and Schwartz has seemed to right the ship.

I'm not looking forward to playing Denver at mile high though

I think our possible saving grace to be able to beat the Broncos are our ability to get turnovers and our ability to have long sustained drives for points. Keep their offense off the field.

Also taking into account it is December in Arrowhead...and not the limp dick Arrowhead of that past few years.

The regular season doesn't even matter. It doesn't matter if KC wins one , two or zero from the Broncos. I don't even care if the Chiefs, Raiders or Chargers even lose. The Broncos are that good. It is all about the playoffs.

In fact I kinda like the success of the AFC West. Its nice beating the shit out of the NFC East.

sorry, I'm still very concerned about the Broncos.

This team had better take things 1 game at a time (cliché I know). If they get down by 2+ possessions against the Broncos, they're not winning. Our offense will need to step up. Our run game MUST improved from the Giants game.

This offense isn't built to come back from down 2+ possessions.

To be fair, I'm at the very least hesitant with the offense, but you have to admit that they haven't had the chance to prove whether or not they can score when they have to. In 4th quarter situations they HAVE moved the ball well. Smith in this latest game threw with much more authority. If he plays that way going forward maybe there is scope to put up more if necessary.

If they're down 17-7 to the Broncos at half-time after they got, say, a special teams TD or a real short field? KC would be right in that game because the D is bossing it. Down 27-14 with no ST/garbage TDs? Yeah... that's probably game over, because even if the offense puts up a couple more teeds, the defense isn't gonna have enough juice to stop Manning.

this is true. I commented yesterday to my buddy that they get the job (so far) when I counts. So this is definitely a good thing.

Getting a little ahead of ourselves, are we?

There is a lot of football to be played. Things are going to be a lot different come Nov. 17th and December.

the offensive numbers are really crazy at this point:

Quote:
On Manning’s final four touchdown drives of the day against Philadelphia, Denver never ran a third-down play.

Denver had 12 second downs on the four drives. Manning converted all of them into first downs.

Eleven plays, 80 yards. Ten plays, 80 yards. Eight plays, 80 yards. Seven plays, 65 yards.

That’s 36 plays, 28 points, 305 yards. And no third downs.
