Furthermore, the Crestwood are 3x3 on the headstock, not inline six. I have literally played hundreds and hundreds of vintage guitars from the 30's through the late 60's and I've never once had a tuner "crumble" in my hand. My dad has a '63 335 that been gigged thousands upon thousands of times and the tuners are still intact and the guitar stays in perfect tune. |

He's a better man than I.
I'm afraid the video of him declining to sign my guitar, after destroying it, would have gone viral. Probably beating a famous afro flat with a guitar level viral. |

also, if NBC has any class at all they will support this guy in filing suit and ban Prince from any NBC show. Period.
If they really want to lay the hammer down, ban him from ever appearing (or having any of music used at all) in anything NBC, Universal, or Comcast. You're done. Go have fun with Viacom... Until you maliciously fuck with one of their employees' livelihoods. |

No. It's a guitar that can be repaired and as I said earlier, it's not "vintage" because the tuners were replaced. |

people change out the hardware and electronics on "vintage" guitars/basses all of the time but as long you retain and then replace the OE the guitar is still valuable and considered "original" |

My '72 Tele Deluxe has some badass Gotoh tuners on it...a Pearly Gates in the bridge and a Fralin P-90 in the neck. Kept all the originals in case I ever HAVE to sell it. The '69 Coranado II has an aftermarket bridge that someone else put on; I'm looking for an original to restore it.

How many people knew this thread was headed in this direction as soon as Dane showed up and mcan started posting about guitars?
*raises hand* There's only one conclusion. Dane is Prince. Mystery solved.

Sounds like rock n roll to me, of course so does caving in Prince's face after raping him with the neck.

I'm pretty sure the *only* thing to do after that kind of rockstar ending to a song is to break the guitar.
Also we're not talking Who or Ben Folds level destruction here. Dick move? Sure, but it's Prince. |
