I would really like for us to sign Art Carmody, the Kicker from Louisville, he's a 82 % field goal kicker his whole career at Louisville, and had only missed 2 extra points.
I dont like that Connor Barth guy that we just signed. He's a 76 % field goal kicker and has missed 6 extra points his career in college. The only thing about Carmody is he does not have a very strong leg, but he is accuarate and dead on the mark. His career long while at Louisville is 51 yards. |

Here are the positive and negatives on Art Carmody :
Strengths: Real accurate..Has proven capable of handling pressure well..Makes the ones he's supposed to...Is very consistent...Sound technique and mechanics...A hard worker with excellent intangibles..He was extremely productive...Has a ton of experience. Weaknesses: Has a slight build...Leg strength is good, but not great...Won't kick-off...Has some attempts blocked...Average athleticism...Range doesn't go much beyond 50 yards. Notes: Nickname is "Art-o-matic"..Was a four-year starter for the Cardinals...Won the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker in 2006..Holds the N.C.A.A. record for most career points by a kicker...Doesn't have all the physical tools you'd prefer and isn't going to be kicking 60-yarders any time soon but he is money in the bank from 40 on in..There must to be a place in the NFL for a guy as steady and reliable as this. |

I guess that wont kick off is a problem, but we can try him kicking off, and if that dont work we could always use Dustin Colquitt to kickoff.

We definitely need to sign one of the undrafted Kickers still available.
And I'd also be all over Eric Young. |

Eric Young must not have cleared his physical or something. The guy was a high end prospect before his season ending injury last year. I like the move to back off, because there must be something we as fans do not know.

I'm sure he's just taking his time to weigh his options, and decide where he wants to go. I'm guessing he has plenty of options, now it's about the best fit, best chance, and best deal.
