For you Royals fans that is the year that Brett and McRae finished 2nd and 4th for AL MVP.

In the grand scheme of things, his legacy was probably brightest because his career was so short. His oddities would have hacked people off if he did the same kooky things year after year. I loved watching him though. I love guys that have fun out there and love to play.
